Paper accepted for publication at BioRob2018

The paper “Hand Gesture Classification in Transradial Amputees Using the Myo Armband Classifier” by Matteo Cognolato, Manfredo Atzori, Diego Faccio, Cesare Tiengo, Franco Bassetto, Roger Gassert and Henning Müller has been accepted for presentation at the 7th IEEE RAS/EMBS International Conference on Biomedical Robotics and Biomechatronics (BioRob) to be held in Enschede, The Netherlands the 26-29 August 2018.

Paper on Lung Graph Model accepted at MICCAI 2018

The paper “From Local to Global: A Holistic Lung Graph Model” by Yashin Dicente Cid, Oscar Jiménez–del–Toro, Alexandra Platon, Henning Müller and Pierre–Alexandre Poletti has been accepted for presentation at the 21st International Conference on Medical Image Computing & Computer Assisted Intervention (MICCAI) to be held in Granada, Spain 16-20 Sept. 2018.

Symposium accepted at IMBES 2018

The symposium  “The elephant in the (class)room: Learning occurs in multisensory environments” has been accepted and will be presented by Dr. Paul Matusz at the 2018 IMBES Conference in Los Angeles, California from September 27-29th.

Additional speakers: Anna Fisher (Carnegie Melon University), Natasha Kirkham (Babylab, Birkbeck College London), Silvia Brem (Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, University of Zürich & ETH), and Dima Amso (Brown University).

A paper presenting a new dataset accepted at MMSys 2018

The paper entitled “SubDiv17: A Dataset for Investigating Subjectivity in the Visual Diversification of Image Search Results” by Maia Rohm, Bogdan Ionescu , Alexandru Lucian Gînscă, Rodrygo L.T. Santos and Henning Müller has been accepted for presentation and will appear in the ACM Multimedia Systems Conference (MMSys 2018), in Amsterdam June 12-15.

PROCESS website official launch

The website for the Horizon2020 European project PROviding Computing solutions for ExaScale challengeS will be officially launched on April 16, 2018, at this link:  http://www.process-project.eu/.

The project will deliver a user-friendly access to extreme scale data processing for scientific research, facilitating the access to high-performance computing resources. Our involvement in the project consists in the development of improved algorithms for automated cancer diagnosis.

Invited talk by Dr Paul Matusz at HUG

Dr Paul Matusz is giving an invited talk in Geneva at the Centre Imagerie Biomedicale on using EEG and electrical neuroimaging analysis techniques to better understand brain, sensory and cognitive development. It will take place at HUG at 10AM on Friday, March 2nd.

The Swiss Foundation for Rehabilitation Technology (FSP) founds the Innovation center for Assistive Technologies (IATLab).

FSP develops auxiliary technological tools for people living with a handicap or  neurological disorder since 1999. The Innovation center for Assistive Technologies (IATLab) was founded on January 1st 2018 in Sierre for the development of new auxiliary tools for people suffering paralysis from a spinal cord injury.
