Currently, we have two projects involving Google Glass, one for paramedics and one for medical doctors. The main advantage of Google Glass over other user interfaces such as smartphones is the ability to interact with it without much hands interaction. More information: antoine.widmer[at]hevs.ch
Google Glass for paramedics
Google Glass for medical doctors
Offering the possibility to conduct diagnosis in a non-disruptive fashion, Google Glass is used to help medical doctors to access an image retrieval system (Khresmoi – Paradise). During a patient consultation, a medical doctor would be able to take a picture of a medical case using the camera mounted on Google Glass. Google Glass sends the picture to Khresmoi to retrieve similare cases.
