The manuscript ‘A Survey on Visual Information Search Behavior and Requirements of Radiologists’ by Dimitrios Markonis was accepted for publication. It will be published by the journal ‘Methods of Information in Medicine’, volume 51, issue 6, 2012.
Information Access to Medical Image Data presentation at DBTA workshop
Prof. Henning Müller gave the presentation Information Access to Medical Image Data: from Big Data to Semantics – Academic and Commercial Challenges at the DBTA Workshop on Academic-Industrial Forms of Collaboration at the University of Lausanne.
The presentation introduced two EU funded projects called Khresmoi and Visceral and highlighted the collaborations of HES-SO with several companies in these projects and also with other Universities and institutions in Switzerland.
Focus Theme on Methods of Information in Medicine journal about Health Information Search
Prof. H. Müller was guest editor together with A. Hanbury and N. Al Shorbaji in the Focus Theme of Methods of Information in Medicine journal. The focus theme in this issue is Health Information Search Combining Text, Visual Information, and Knowledge Bases.
This is a journal that has stressed, for more than 50 year, the methodology and scientific fundamentals of organizing, representing and analysing data, information and knowledge in biomedicine and health care.

MedGift projects overview at E-health conference in Lausanne
The talk ‘E-health in general and the projects of the HES-SO Valais’ was given by Henning Müller at the E-Santé: Évolution ou Révolution? conference that took place at the HES-SO in Lausanne.
We presented our projects to over 80 persons involved with the eHealth in the Swiss French part. There will be another event this 29-nov-2012, this time here in Sierre.

The fourth Khresmoi Newsletter is online. It gives an overview of the ezDL software, which forms the basis of the Khresmoi search interface, and describes the strategy adopted to evaluate the Khresmoi search engine. It also contains information on past and upcoming Khresmoi events.
