Bigpicture is a public-private partnership funded by the EU Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI) bringing together academic institutions, small- and medium-sized enterprises, public organisations, pharmaceutical companies, and a large network of partners.
The goal of the project is to set up a regulatory framework for the sharing of Histopathologic data as well as a large image repository (~3 Million Whole Slide Images) for researchers and industrial organizations.
Medgift is involved in the development of AI methods for image encoding and Content Based Image Retrieval, as well as the development of registration algorithms.
